Some of the annoying minigames are still just as annoying. The battle system can be a little confusing if you forget you are playing an RPG, the visuals certainly show some age, and if you’re used to open world adventures you may find this game’s areas rather small. So how does this eighteen-year-old game hold up? Surprisingly well, I would say. At least in my playthrough of the game, I didn’t run into anything unexpected other than a couple of UI differences that I think a person go either way on. Perhaps that’s the reason why this game seems to hold together a little tighter than some of Apsyr’s other Switch ports did at launch.
